Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys: Empire State of Mind

There is always the argument that Jay-Z is too old to be rapping… yeah right, stop hating. When you produce dope tracks like this then he can rap until he is 100years of age. Plus he can still pull off the style and has that swagger folks in their teens and old age mimicking. It also doesn’t hurt that you have Alicia Keys on the hook looking fabulous. Enjoy.

The Roots, How I Got Over music video

The Roots! My favorite group of all time and they have another dope concept video. One thing I appreciate about this group is that they are always on the conscious tip and have never strayed. Sure they delve into different styles of music but that is greatly appreciated. The Roots!!!

Mingle and Plei

This is what I am talking about! A place where a grown up can be a kid. Mingle and Plei has everything ranging from karaoke, video games, board games, drinks, Dj's and offer private rooms. This place is a dream come true. This goes down at the Orchid Lounge and is something you will do because it is so much fun. Make sure to check it out and tell them that Kev sent you. Make sure to check out www.mingleandplei.com for the days and times and photos.

UNI- Land of the Kings

LA based rappers UNI are one of the best if not "the" best rap group out of LA. They do not stick to one style and ride it to death but experiment and try out new methods of using Hip Hop as a vehicle. They have been doing their things for years and recently I have seen some of their work on MTV (Good job guys). "Land of the Kings" is a new track produced by Ro Blvd and the video is dope. Keep up the good work guys.
