Nicki Minaj

Not the type of girl that I'm really attracted to but she has something about her, perhaps her off personality (off in a good way). Her lyrical skills and delivery are on point as well.

How to help

Seems that the holiday season always spurs our good nature to assist those less fortunate. Not going got lie, I have been slacking on my good deeds. Here is a koo little article to get started if you do not know how:

Happy Christmas, John McClain Style: Yipee Ki-yay

This movie always puts me in the Holiday spirit because: One, it takes place during the Christmas season so you get that tickle in your belly that Santa is going to pop out with two machine guns. Two, you see Christmas trees. Three, John McClain. Four, there is snow. Five, you see Christmas presents all over the film. And finally six, there are explosions, lol. The first Die Hard did not have snow so you forget about the season to be giving; but in the second you still get the bad ass woopin plus snow, a constant reminder. Happy Christmas!!!!

Reebok X Patta

These are so sexy and simple. The gum front with the light coffee color makes these a winner for a chill evening with the boys or you can dress them up with a sick cardigan and tie. You choose, all winner. That basketball is dope as well.

10 Deep Holiday

The clothing is looking kind of nice. Very much Ralph Lauren inspired. Makes me want to go paintball shooting.

I, Too by Langston Huges

This speaks volumes about our current state on race beyond black people, but us as a human race. The days of slavery and racism are far from over. So sad but not to be forgotten.

Adidas Torsion Bank Shot

If anyone ever see's this shoes around let me know. Could not track down a pair.

Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys: Empire State of Mind

There is always the argument that Jay-Z is too old to be rapping… yeah right, stop hating. When you produce dope tracks like this then he can rap until he is 100years of age. Plus he can still pull off the style and has that swagger folks in their teens and old age mimicking. It also doesn’t hurt that you have Alicia Keys on the hook looking fabulous. Enjoy.

The Roots, How I Got Over music video

The Roots! My favorite group of all time and they have another dope concept video. One thing I appreciate about this group is that they are always on the conscious tip and have never strayed. Sure they delve into different styles of music but that is greatly appreciated. The Roots!!!

UNI- Land of the Kings

LA based rappers UNI are one of the best if not "the" best rap group out of LA. They do not stick to one style and ride it to death but experiment and try out new methods of using Hip Hop as a vehicle. They have been doing their things for years and recently I have seen some of their work on MTV (Good job guys). "Land of the Kings" is a new track produced by Ro Blvd and the video is dope. Keep up the good work guys.

Kix and the City

I love this show! Wish I had these sneaker connections. Man, sneakers are like crack. Is it worse to be addicted to sneakers or drugs? Well, there is no difference. I get that itch and it is over. Well, to satisfy my urge I research and watch a lot of video's and pretend I bought the kicks because can't really afford them all at the moment. All good, have my wish list.

Hasani Pettiford

So I just heard this brother speak and all I have to say is...wow! Hasani Pettiford speaks the realness about dating, finances, health and life. He is an acclaimed writer as well as speaker. Some of his books include Black Thighs, Black Guys and Bedroom lies and The 12 Habits of Successful People: A 12 Step Program for Success. What I truly enjoy most is how his discussions are rooted with the word (The word meaning from the bible). I know that he gives discussions at various locations and he is not one to be missed. You can google in his name because his sight is down- hasanipettiford.com. If you truly listen and take to heart what he talks about it will change your life. Here is a video of the man speaking.

FABOLOUS- MONEY GOES, HONEY STAY

I am definitely feeling Fab's new album, "Loso's Way". I love the title and essence of this track. This video is done well and they keep airing it to death on MTV jams and hits. Enjoy

Song cry

Guess this song speaks volumes. Of course not every word but the essence of the track.

Kid Cudi: "Make her Say" feat. Kanye West and Common

Finally, a new video from Kid Cudi. Plus this video is super dope with dope fits. The video is showing the progression of fashion and notice how folks are leaving the skinny jeans behind. Anyway, enjoy the video because I did.

Emortal Fall/Holiday 09

Here we have Emortal Clothing which is a dope brand. This really speaks to many generations, not just the kids or older folks. This is a line is simple, yet has many strong messages behind it. This is just a preview of the line with much more to come. Make sure to check out blackgoldkartel.com/blog, with the site launch officially coming very soon.

LO Sweatas

Alright, most folks who know me know that I am a LO-fan. For those who don't know, LO is an abbreviation for Polo by Ralp Lauren. I love LO and it's that brand you will always wear regardless of your age. You can dress it for a regular outing or dress it up for a night on the town. LO is my friend and LO is the best. Here is a dope video from Project Mayhem called "LO Sweatas", directed by Phil Lee. The Cinematography is good and is well done. This video is hilarious, in a good way. Entertaining for me and should be for you. I want to see a New York LO video response to this Chicago version.

Opening Statement

Okay, so this will be my official forum to express myself through whatever form and fashion I see fit. My name is Kevin Palafox and I am a renaissance man in a sense. My life goal is to fuse all of my hobbies and passions into viable careers that will bless myself and my family. With that being said, I want to align myself with people of like minds and interests. I firmly believe that we need each other to gain access to our fullest potential and that nobody can do anything alone. Today is the day where it all changes.
